Brazilian Butt Lift in Dalton & Chattanooga
Also serving Calhoun & Cartersville in North Georgia
Individuals who are unhappy with a small or unattractively shaped derriere and want to enhance it to look more voluptuous have several options. A traditional butt lift will remove excess droopy skin, which by itself can have a dramatic effect on the buttocks. A Brazilian butt lift, however, uses a fat transfer technique to remove excess fat from areas around the behind and re-inject the fat into the upper part of the buttocks, making the rear look more lifted. In other cases, implants may be placed to augment the buttocks.

Candidates for Buttock Enhancement
Buttock enhancement candidates should be in good health, both mentally and physically, with reasonable expectations of the surgery. They should not smoke and should be aware of the potential risks of surgery. If the candidate is interested in a Brazilian butt lift, he or she should have ample fat to transplant to the buttocks.
Buttock Enhancement Surgery
Buttock enhancement with a fat transfer is a multiple step process, usually performed as an outpatient procedure at Dr. Williams' state-of-the-art surgical center. First, fat is extracted from the patient's abdomen or thighs via liposuction techniques. The fat is purified and prepared for re-injection. Then, it is injected into specific areas of the buttocks to achieve the desired look. By adding volume to the top of the buttocks, Dr. Williams gives it a "lifted" appearance.
Patients who opt for a traditional butt lift will have an incision made in the lower back from one hip extending to the other. Dr. Williams lifts the skin below the incision and removes the excess. The remaining skin is stretched tightly and sutured into place.
Recovering from Buttock Enhancement Surgery
Butt lift Chattanooga/ Dalton patients should be escorted home by a companion and find a comfortable resting spot that does not put pressure on the buttocks. Patients must avoid sitting or lying on the buttocks until the area heals. Post-operative bruising and swelling are normal and should disappear completely within three months. Dr. Williams will want to see the patient frequently after surgery for several follow-up visits to check their healing progress.
Benefits and Risks of Buttock Enhancement
Buttock enhancement can make a person feel more attractive and youthful. Being more confident in the backside may make a person be more inclined to wear certain types of clothing or be more comfortable at the gym or at the pool. The added benefit of a fat transfer procedure is that it reduces excess fat in another area of the body.
All surgeries carry some risk, and buttock enhancement is no different. Risks include infection, scarring, anesthesia-related complications and complications of liposuction. Any fat transfer surgery is risky because to survive, the injected fat must develop its own blood supply. In the new location usually about half to ¾ of the injected fat is able to do so, and to prepare for this, Dr. Williams injects more fat than is needed to compensate. This presents the risk of asymmetrical results or the need for revision.
